FIRE TEST PERFORMANCE
Tested on a wide range of wooden doors, achieving 60 minutes integrity and either 30 or 60-minute fire protection and insulation according to BS476 Part22.
Up to 60 minutes fire protection achieved on open joists and floorboards according to BS476 Part 20.
90-minute fire rating achieved on timber mouldings and carcasses according to BS476 Part 20.
Tested on a range of timber types, including plywood and MDF, complying with BS476 Parts 6 & 7, Classes 0 & 1 (Spread of Flame).
Tested to European Standard EN1364-1, achieving 66 minutes integrity.
Complies with Classification B/S1/d0 of European Standard EN13823, single burn test (SBI) and EN11925-2 (ignitability).

A water-based product to apply over existing paint, varnish or wax surfaces, before applying other coatings.

HW02 Clear intumescent Coating
HW02 is a water-based product that MUST have a protective Top Sealer Coat applied. Once coated, HW02 will last the life of the Top Coat. If the Top Coat is re-applied at the end of the cycle, HW02 will continue to offer fire protection for life.

Available in: 1 litre, 2.5 litres, 5 litres and 20 litres.
APPLICATION
Apply one coat of Envirograf® HWAP/WB clear Adhesion Primer at 10-12 m2 per litre before applying HW02, when the primer is thoroughly dry apply HW02.
HW02 is a clear Intumescent Coating with a slightly cloudy appearance but dries clear in about 1-2 hours. Once HW02 has been applied, do not attempt to re-work by over brushing this will tear the coating. If it is absolutely necessary to re-work then dip the tip of brush in warm water first and lightly brush over. If using HW02 for the first time, it is strongly advised that you practice applying the product over a small area to get a feel for the amount of application needed. When happy with the finish on the test area, then proceed with the project. Ensure that the first coat is completely clear before applying the next coat. Apply 2 coats at 8 m2 per litre, per coat to give 30 minutes on 9 mm softwood and 60 minutes on 14 mm softwood. Anything below these sizes, then apply 3 coats at 8 m2 per litre, per coat. Can be applied by roller, brush or spray. If spraying add up to 10% water. The contents must be thoroughly mixed before use. Use a 2.5mm to 3mm nozzle.
